With New year, comes new year resolutions, which is followed by breaking of resolutions…
You start with some age-old clichéd resolutions
“I will lose weight”
“I will get in shape”
“I will stop unnecessary spending”
“I will travel”
“I will quit smoking”
“I will stop drinking” (considering the fact that modern women drink and smoke)
(simple, isn’t it? It becomes very easy to make these resolutions, which become equally easier to break also)
Don’t you think you should try to make some resolutions that make a better YOU and a stronger YOU?
So here it is…
Compilation of resolutions made by women to get rid of their past mistakes
Stop being guilt conscious. Enough of apologizing for no fault of yours. In reality, there’s nothing to be sorry about so much.
“You are a terrible cook”
“You are not a good wife”
“You do not know to be a good mother” ….blah blah blah
This year, promise yourself…to hell with what others tell you or think about you. Don’t feel bad.
#1 New year resolution “I’m going to own my shit and stop apologizing for things I don’t have to apologize for”
Stop taking so much time to accomplish your goals
You want to do something…don’t prolong it, especially when it comes to your job, career, business or goals.
#2 New year resolution “I am going to try and be that person who takes initiative and makes things happen for herself, rather than wondering how other people do it”
Stop negativity – in your mind, thoughts, and actions and even in communication
There is already too much of negativity around. So, don’t add to it more. Be positive and do positive. Manifest positivity in your mind.
#3 New year resolution “I’m breaking my habit of negative self-talk. I plan to get rid of my inner negativity. I’ll encourage myself rather than tear myself down.”
Focus on a balanced life
Oh yes, this is very important. Balancing life is in today’s time an essential rule to live happily and peacefully.
#4 New year resolution “ I’m going to structure my year in such a way that I can balance my work and home, I have time for work, for friends and family. I won’t try to be hard on myself as being a superwoman. Rather, I will try to have more time just being happy. My goal is to live a more balanced life!”
Silence is golden but not at the expense of your self-respect, dignity, and other aspects. It is better to be vocal to make yourself heard.
#5 New year resolution“I want to be more vocal about my needs and desires in my relationships instead of just going with the flow all the time because it’s the easiest thing to do.”
No means No
Learn to say No, Learn NOT to please everyone
# 6 New year resolution “This year I will commit to the things that I have the capacity for and the desire to do, and confidently say no, otherwise.”
Get rid of negative people
Just as you should not have negative thoughts in your mind, so also, you should start avoiding toxic and negative people in your life. Avoid people who puts you down or lowers your self-esteem.
#7 New year resolution “I will spend more time with the people that matter. I will focus on the people who I care about and who care about me, as this is the best way to stay happy. I will be with people who motivates me.”
Learn new skills or pick up fun hobbies
Start following your passion. If you do not have any hobby, pick up a new one. Learn a new skill. Learn something that gives you pleasure.
#8 New year resolution “Just sitting around all day won’t get me anywhere. It is much better to use my free time in a constructive manner and pick up new skills while having fun at the same time.”
Its time to re-discover or re-invent yourself. If you are not happy with what you are doing every day, it is time for you to re-evaluate yourself and do things that make you happy.
#9 New year resolution “This year, I plan to reinvent myself. Reinventing myself can give me a whole new perspective on life and take me in directions I may never have dreamed were possible.”
Start Earning (If You Aren’t Already). Be independent, be empowered
This is very very important. No matter what, there is always a great sense of satisfaction when you earn your own money.
#10 New year resolution “This New Year, I desire for financial freedom. This year, I make a resolution to make money by doing what I love. And I will work towards it either by selling my crafted items or by working part-time. I will lead a productive life for myself.”
It’s time to give up old habits and take up new ones for a better and stronger YOU.
